Touch Up Pro - Mobile Body Shop

  • What is the difference between a repaint and a touch-up?

A touch-up is a more economical option for addressing minor paint imperfections and rock chips. It serves as a protective measure for the underlying metal, reducing the visibility of damage by approximately 30-40%. In contrast, a repaint is a comprehensive repair process that involves sanding, priming, painting, and clear coating the affected area to restore the paint to its original condition.
  • How long after my repair do I have to wait to drive my vehicle?

Your vehicle is ready for immediate use once our technician has completed the repair process. There is no waiting period required before you can resume driving.
  • When can I wash and wax my vehicle after it has been repaired?

We recommend waiting 24 hours after the completion of your repair before washing or waxing your vehicle. This allows sufficient time for the paint to cure adequately, ensuring it can withstand the cleaning process without compromising the repair work.
  • When can I put a paint protection film or Clearbra on my vehicle after it has been repaired?

It is advisable to wait a full week before applying a paint protection film (PPF) or Clearbra to your vehicle following a repair. This waiting period ensures the paint has fully cured, preventing any potential damage to the fresh paint during the application of protective materials.
  • Does Touch Up Pro report to CarFax?

Touch Up Pro does not report to CarFax. We request your vehicle identification number (VIN) solely to obtain paint codes and ensure we procure the correct parts for your vehicle's repair. However, please note that if you file an insurance claim, your insurance company may report the incident to CarFax, which is beyond our control.
  • Will Touch Up Pro share my vehicle's information?

Touch Up Pro maintains strict confidentiality regarding both your vehicle's information and your personal data. We have a firm policy against selling or reporting any information provided to us by our clients.
  • Will rain affect my paint job?

Rain will not adversely affect your paint job. You may safely drive your vehicle in the rain immediately following a repair without concern for the results. In the event of rain during the repair process, our technicians are equipped with protective awnings and covers to shield your vehicle's paint job from environmental elements.
  • How long do I need to wait to have my vehicle ceramic coated after a repair?

We advise waiting a full week before applying a ceramic coating to your vehicle after a repair. This interval allows the paint to fully cure, preventing any potential damage to the newly applied paint during the ceramic coating process.
  • When can I add decals to my vehicle after a repair?

It is recommended to wait a full week before applying any stickers or decals to a newly painted surface. This waiting period ensures the paint has fully cured and is ready to accept adhesive materials.
  • When can I wipe down my vehicle after it has been repaired?

Your vehicle can be wiped down immediately after the repair is completed. There is no waiting period required before you can clean the surface of your vehicle.
